Dr. Carolyn H. Maidon

Biography

Dr. Carolyn H. Maidon worked at Cary High School teaching biology and English, NC State University as faculty and in administration, and at the NC Department of Public Instruction prior to coming to Campbell University. Her primary areas of interest are in science education and the effective implementation of inquiry and problem-based learning in the classroom. Dr. Maidon is licensed in the areas of biology, English, comprehensive science, and academically and intellectually gifted. She is Level I NIOSH and OSHA Science Laboratory Safety certified and is also a certified consultant in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality inventory that makes C. G. Jung’s psychological types understandable and useful by providing information regarding one’s perception and judgment modes. Dr. Maidon received her B.S. from Oklahoma State University and her M.Ed. and Ph.D. from NC State University. She has two children and three grandchildren who reside in Oklahoma. In her spare time she enjoys gardening.
