Biography

 Sarah is GE Healthcare's Chief Communications Officer. In this role, she oversees external affairs, employee engagement, and executive communications at GE’s $18B healthcare franchise.  Prior to this role, Sarah was Executive Director, Strategy and Culture, GE Corporate HQ. In this role, she was responsible for supporting the development of the annual global strategic plan, including identifying disruptive market themes, next-generation technologies and business models. In this capacity, she also led key innovation efforts, developed strategic commercial partnerships and drove thought leadership both inside and outside GE. In addition, Sarah led FastWorks, GE’s signature culture change for delivering speed and customer intensity, oversaw GE’s open innovation platform and corporate HQ simplification efforts.  Previously, Sarah was Executive Counsel in the Chairman’s Office, serving as the operational leader for Jeff Immelt in his capacity as Chairman of President Barack Obama’s Council for Jobs and Competitiveness.  Before joining GE, Sarah was Executive Director of a non-profit organization founded by then-Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton. The organization was focused on developing and growing start-ups in emerging technologies in New York State. Sarah started her career at David Axelrod and Associates in Chicago and then later as a policy advisor on Capitol Hill.  Sarah is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center and Illinois Wesleyan University.
