Biography
Chaker Chahrour is vice president and general manager for Global Sales and Marketing for GE Aviation. He was appointed an officer of the General Electric Company in 2014. In this role, he is responsible for sales and marketing of all commercial engine and systems products and services globally. Chaker joined GE Aviation in 1979 and worked as a design engineer in combustion systems. Over his 35 year career with GE Aviation, Chaker held various assignments and leadership positions in Engineering, Systems Design, System Integration, Six Sigma Black Belt and Program Management. Between 1997 and 2005, Chaker served as the general manager for the GE90 Product line. Chaker is credited with the introduction of the GE90-115B engine, the most powerful commercial engine in service today that powers the Boeing 777-300ER/200LR aircraft.
