Biography
Agnieszka is a Senior Associate Dean and Executive MBA Program Director at Hult International Business School in Dubai. Agnieszka joined Hult’s Dubai campus in January 2008 as Associate Dean Student Affairs and professor of Management Communication. She played a key role in establishing Hult’s first overseas campus, which welcomed the first batch of students in September 2008, and witnessed the campus’s rapid growth from one offering only a full-time MBA in its first year to its current three-program offering, home to over 450 students from more than 40 nationalities. Agnieszka’s role included managing faculty affairs on the Dubai campus as well as its academic authorization by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority. Prior to joining Hult, Agnieszka was a lecturer in Business Communication and professional writing consultant at University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She also taught Academic Writing in the graduate and undergraduate programs at the University of Michigan’s English Language Institute and was involved in the development and application of English language assessment tools for speakers of English as a second language. Agnieszka is a native of Poland and is a trained conference interpreter and translator (English, Polish, Russian) specializing in cross-cultural communication, diplomacy, and contract negotiation. During and after her master degree studies at University of Warsaw, she owned a consultancy in Warsaw offering professional communication and interpreting services. The clients included Polish and US Government bodies (President’s Office; Ministry of Foreign Affairs; USAID) and multinational corporations (Westinghouse, Emerson, BBC). Upon receiving a scholarship for a promising Eastern European Entrepreneur to continue her studies at Cambridge University, she completing her academic qualifications, earning an MPhil and PhD degrees, with a focus on adult learning.
