Biography
Eileen Auen has more than 25 years of experience in health care and financial services. Prior to founding Deep Run Consulting, LLC, a firm that provides consulting services to the healthcare industry, Ms. Auen served as the Executive Chairman of Helios, a $1 billion healthcare services firm formed by the merger of PMSI, Inc. and Progressive Medical, Inc. Ms. Auen served as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of PMSI, Inc., from December 2008 until October 2013 when PMSI merged with Progressive Medical, Inc. Previously, Ms. Auen served as head of health care management for Aetna, where she managed more than $35 billion of health care spending as well as the company's network management, care management, and informatics organizations. Earlier in her career, she served as CEO of APS Healthcare, Inc., a leading provider of specialty health care solutions for more than 1,000 clients in the public sector and commercial markets. Her work at APS culminated with the successful sale of the company to GTCR, one of the country's leading private equity firms. Ms. Auen's past positions include president of Health Net of the Northeast, president of CIGNA Healthcare's Southeast Region, and senior vice president of Intracorp. She has also served as a member of the board of directors for the Disease Management Association for America. Ms. Auen has an M.B.A. from the University of Virginia and a bachelor's degree in Economics and Finance from Towson University.
