Biography
Karen L. Hartman earned her PhD in Rhetoric at Louisiana State University in 2008. She joined the ISU faculty in 2014 and teaches courses in public relations. KarenĂ¢â‚¬â„¢s research interests include sport, rhetorical criticism, myth, morality, apologia, heroes, and race. She served for several years as the Chair of the International Association for Communication and Sport and has professional experience working as an entertainment publicist in Beverly Hills and in community relations with the Los Angeles Galaxy.
