Biography
Prior to her current post as CEO, Ms. Welkie served as the hospital's Chief Operating Officer, CNO, and as Nursing Director of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. She received the Excellence in Nursing Leadership Award from the Utah Organization of Nurse Leaders in 2008 and is a previous recipient of the Osler’s Cloak for Excellence in Caring and Curing. Ms. Welkie completed her bachelor's degree in nursing at the University of Utah and received her MBA with an emphasis in health care administration from Regis University.
