Biography
Nancy Cornick is an Associate Professor of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her studies Ph.D., Microbiology, Iowa State University, M.S., Microbiology, Iowa State University. Pre-harvest food safety, bacterial colonization mechanisms, zoonotic transmission of bacterial pathogens, pathogenesis of enteric E. coli diseases and the microbial ecology of gastrointestinal systems. Currently projects include defining colonization mechanisms used by E. coli O157:H7 in ruminants and understanding the pathogenesis of Shiga toxin-producing E. coli infections.
Research Interest
