Michael T. Montgomery was Distinguished Professor in Department of Meteorology. PhD - Harvard University, 1990 Applied Mathematics/Dynamic Meteorology, MS - Harvard University, 1986 Applied Mathematics, MS - University of Washington, 1985 Engineering and BS - University of Washington, 1983 Mathematics. 2012, Naval Postgraduate School, Graduate School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (GSEAS), Awarded the title of Distinguished Professor.
Research Interest
Research interest in Tropical Meteorology, Meteorological research expertise in tropical cyclones (hurricanes/typhoons), Midlatitude Cyclones, Polar Lows, Fronts, Mesoscale Vortices Mesoscale Convective Vortices, Tornadoes and Stratospheric Circumpolar Vortex and other atmospheric vortices.
