Biography

Professor McCoy joined the faculty in 2017 and directs the law school’s Academic Success Program. Previously, she was the Assistant Director of Academic Support and Bar Readiness at Texas Southern University’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law. Professor McCoy is a graduate of Vanderbilt University Law School, where she was a Managing Editor of the Vanderbilt Law Review. After law school, Professor McCoy clerked for the Honorable Eric L. Clay of the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and later worked as a litigation associate at Mayer Brown in Chicago. She also completed an LLM in Environmental, Energy and Natural Resources Law from the University of Houston Law Center.
