Biography
At Queens College, Professor Segal teaches new courses in Bible and rabbinic literature in addition to Modern Hebrew language and literature, a comparative course on religious narratives, and courses for the Department of Comparative Literature, including an advanced seminar on "Gender and Lyric Poetry
Research Interest
Professor Segal's research interests include language politics, prosody and poetic language, Zionism and modern Hebrew literary history; modern uses of tradition; Yiddish and Russian influences on Hebrew literature.
