Biography

Our clinical and scientific focus is on advanced tumor surgery, metastasis surgery, lung transplantation and surgical treatment of pulmonary hypertension. This is made possible by the availability of all state-of-the-art techniques of lung surgery, but also of lung and circulatory replacement. Close cooperation with all essential partner departments within the General Hospital, as well as with numerous other national and international departments guarantees top-level treatment and access to the most recent procedures. The clinical research at the department is supported by experimental research in two different labs, one oncologically and one immunologically oriented. The team of the department sees it as its task to combine the three components of patient treatment, teaching and research in the best possible way.
