Biography
Dr. Jean-Lou Chameau has been Ma’aden’s board member since April 2016. His biography includes a mix of both academic and real life experiences. In addition to his current post as the President of King Abdullah University of Science and Technology and his ongoing academic research in energy, medical science and the environment, Dr. Chameau is a member of the boards of the Council on Competitiveness, John Wiley & Sons, MTS Systems, and the Advisory Committee of InterWest Partners. He was also the Chairman of the California Institute of Technology; the home of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, as well as the head of the soil engineering program and the dean of Purdue University Professor Chameau hold a PhD in Civil Engineering from Stanford University.
