Bob Brandt

Biography

Bob Brandt was appointed Vice President of Manufacturing and Engineering for Sadara Chemical Company in January, 2017, bringing with him over 30 years of international experience in the chemicals industry. He joins Sadara at a critical juncture in the evolution of the company as Sadara moves from construction to an operational company. In his new role, he will be overseeing the commissioning and startup of the remaining facilities at the Sadara chemical complex, in addition to all site operations, including maintenance, manufacturing and engineering. Bob has extensive global experience having worked across several markets including Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Canada and the United States. Prior to joining Sadara, Bob was VP of Operations for Equate Petrochemicals in Kuwait, where he was appointed after serving as VP of Manufacturing at MEGlobal in Canada. At Equate and MEGlobal, Robert served in similar roles, overseeing all operations and manufacturing, environmental, health and safety procedures, as well as work processes and quality control. Under his stewardship, both companies saw record performances in Asset Capability, Reliability and Production. Bob began his career at Union Carbide in 1985. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas - Austin.
