Biography

Graduated in 1988 from Husson College and immediately started working in the Intensive Care Unit at Eastern Maine Medical Center with 5 other fellow graduates. The fast paced environment was something that spoke to her passion of caring for patients and their families in the most critical times in their lives. Tracey remained as a staff nurse for the next 18 years. During that time, she trained as a relief charge nurse and played an instrumental part in the orientation of many nurses entering critical care for the first time in their careers. In 2005, Tracey left the ICU and started at Community Health and Counseling Services as a visiting home health and hospice nurse. She also was hired as a part time laboratory assistant at Husson in the School of Nursing during this time. Tracey's true love of education was nurtured in these roles and she now is employed full time as the Learning Resource Center and Simulation Coordinator. She continues to work per Diem in the ICU at St Joesph's Hospital and is a graduate student in the nurse educator tract.
