Maja Vukovic

Biography

Maja Vukovic is a Research Manager and a Research Staff Member at IBM T.J. Watson Research Center. Maja's research expertise is in IT service innovation, crowdsourcing technologies, API ecosystems innovation and social media applications for disaster management. Maja leads Cloud Services Automation team. Maja has received four IBM Outstanding Technical Achievement Awards, two IBM Research outstanding accomplishments and two IBM Research awards for her technical leadership and contributions to enterprise crowdsourcing and IT services. Maja is an IBM Master Inventor, with over 120 patents filed and 30 granted. Maja is an author of over 80 papers in top international conferences and journals, and has filed over 80 patent applications. Maja is a co-founder of a number of workshops: Enterprise Crowdsourcing, Ubiquitous Crowdsourcing and Social Web for Disaster Management, collocated with leading international conferences. Maja received her PhD from University of Cambridge, UK, for her work on context aware service composition. Maja received her MSc from International University in Germany, and her BSc from University of Auckland, New Zealand. Prior to IBM, Maja was a Research Scientist at MercedesBenz Research and Technology Center in Palo Alto, working in the field of telematic services.
