Zubin Taraporevala

Biography

Zubin leads our retail banking work in the EMEA region and has more than 25 years of experience serving banks, insurers, asset managers, and private-equity firms. Zubin’s client impact has a truly global reach, ranging from Australia, Germany, India, and Singapore to South Africa, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Zubin’s recent client experience includes the following: transforming retail and small business digital customer journeys and analytics designing new segment specific business models, such as affluent and small business improving sales and marketing effectiveness across face-to-face and remote channels driving productivity improvement and installing zero-based budgeting optimizing risk-weighted assets and nonperforming loans and lowering indemnity costs conducting due-diligence and helping portfolio companies capture value Zubin is a member of McKinsey’s Shareholders Council (board of directors). He previously chaired McKinsey’s Partner Candidate Election Committee and the Finance and Infrastructure Committee of the Shareholders Council. When he was based in New York, he served on the board of directors for the Asia Society and City Harvest.
