Biography
Mr. Wayne E. Chaplin has been the Chief Executive Officer of Southern/Glazer's Distributors of America since 2008. Mr. Chaplin has been the Chief Executive Officer of Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits, LLC (formerly Southern Wine & Spirits of America, Inc.) since 1994 and served as its President since May 2014. He served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Shaw-Ross International Importers, Inc. He served as the Chief Operating Officer of Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits, LLC from 1994 to May 2014. In his first three years at Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits, LLC, he served as a Sales Supervisor, Company Comptroller and Operations Manager. Since 1987, he served as Vice President in charge of operations and in 1989 he was named First Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, overseeing all divisions of its distributing operations. Since 1994, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits, LLC. He joined Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits, LLC in 1984. He serves as Chairman of The Board of Trustees at Mount Sinai Medical Center, Inc. and is a Regular Trustee of University of Miami. He served as Vice Chairman of Mount Sinai NYU Health. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Miami with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Mr. Chaplin received a law degree from the University of Miami.
