Robert Holland

Biography

Bob is a physician with a DPhil in neuroscience.  After medical practice in Oxford and in London, he joined the pharmaceutical industry in 1985 gaining substantial experience across multiple therapeutic areas, working for a number of major companies across all phases of drug discovery and development, living and working in The Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden and The UK.  Between 1999 and 2005, Bob was responsible for all Phase 1 and early Phase 2 studies for all AstraZeneca drugs across all indications.  From 2005 until 2010, Bob led the Neuroscience Therapeutic Area for AstraZeneca (Discovery and Development) after which he created the novel “Personalised Healthcare & Biomarkers” function for that company.
