Biography
Rob was appointed Chairman in 2017, after a 30-year career in engineering consulting. Most recently, he was General Manager Asia Pacific, responsible for GHD's operations in China, South East Asia, New Zealand, and South America. Prior to this, he held the positions of General Manager Services, Organic Growth Leader, and Manager for ACT and Southern NSW. Rob has led GHD’s Acquisition & Integration Advisory Group through 20 successful mergers which have diversified the company’s earnings across US, Canada, Australasia and the United Kingdom. He began his career in Brisbane, Australia and developed his professional standing as a project manager delivering major water and transport infrastructure, defence, telecommunications, and property and buildings projects. An executive director of GHD since 2009, Rob is the past chair of our Board Risk Committee. He completed the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program in 2011 and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers Australia.
