Brett Landrum

Biography

Brett serves as Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of R&D. Brett and his team are dedicated to developing and delivering innovative products and solutions that improve the lives of patients and providers around the world. Brett joined Smiths Medical in 2015 as Director of Software Engineering leading the organization’s digital transformation efforts. Prior to joining Smiths Medical, Brett served as Director of Engineering for Medtronic leading the development and launch of Medtronic’s wireless remote patient ECG monitoring system. Brett has held a variety of additional leadership roles across the medical device, automotive, telecommunications and transportation industries.  He brings with him 20 years of experience, including an intimate knowledge of the product development lifecycle and a rich history of driving new product introductions. Brett has multiple U.S. and international patents. Brett holds a B.S. in Math and Information Systems from Indiana University Kokomo, an M.S. in Software Engineering from the University of St. Thomas and an M.B.A. from the University of St. Thomas.
