Jeff Hays

Biography

 Jeff Hays is the Senior Vice President of Commercial Decommissioning for EnergySolutions.  Jeff is responsible for the overall development of EnergySolutions’ commercial nuclear plant decommissioning business and related products and services.  Jeff works across multiple EnergySolutionsbusiness groups and product lines to provide a full range of products and services to the emerging fleet of shutdown plants. Jeff has over 30 years of commercial nuclear power experience in a broad range of technical, operational, and senior leadership / executive positions.  Previously, Jeff was the Vice President of Commercial Decommissioning for AREVA Inc. where he provided leadership in developing and executing AREVA’ D&D projects.  Prior to this, Jeff held various leadership, business development, and technical positions for AREVA and AREVA-Transnuclear including Vice President of Back End Fuel Cycle Solutions.  In this capacity, Jeff was responsible for the overall fabrication and delivery of Dry Fuel Storage systems and related products and services to North American customers.  Earlier in his commercial nuclear career, Jeff held senior leadership and technical operating positions at 2 operating nuclear stations.  Jeff is experienced in plant operations (SRO), chemistry, health physics, maintenance and project/outage management. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear Technology from Regents College, University of the State of New York and also held an SRO license at Diablo Canyon Units 1&2.
