Biography
Mr. Cohen has served as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer of MacAndrews & Forbes Incorporated since 2013. In 2011, he was Secretary to New York State Governor Andrew M. Cuomo during the first year of Governor Cuomo’s administration. Prior to that, Mr. Cohen served as Chief of Staff and Counselor to then-New York Attorney General Cuomo, holding both positions for the entire four years of Mr. Cuomo’s tenure as Attorney General. Mr. Cohen has more than 25 years of experience as a lawyer in private practice and public service. He is a Trustee of New York University (“NYU”), Co-Chair of the Bronfman Center of NYU, Wagner Dean’s Council Member for the NYU, Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and Chairman of the Board of the Brooklyn Bridge Park Development Corporation. He holds a bachelor’s degree from New York University and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
