Biography
Hugh Stoyell's career in the South African mining industry spans more than 40 years, including 30 years with Rand Mines Limited and 10 years with Duiker Mining Limited, where he retired as Chairman and Managing Director in 2002. He currently serves as non-executive director, member of the Audit Committee and Chairman of the Health, Safety and Environment Committee of Raspadskaya, one of the leading coal producers in Russia. He has a BSc in Mining Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand and a Masters of Business Leadership from UNISA. Mr. Stoyell is a registered professional engineer and a Fellow of the South African Institute of Mining & Metallurgy.
