Biography

Marcelo Carmona was Research Fellow of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) in all its categories (Student, Initiation and Perfection). He is currently a teacher Regular holder of the Chair of Phytopathology of the Faculty of Agronomy of the University of Buenos Aires (FAUBA)), with category II in the Program of Incentives (2004) It was until January 2005, Academic Coordinator of the career of Ing. Agr. at the headquarters of Carlos Casares and until March 2010 Secretary of Development and Institutional Relations of the FAUBA. It was member of the Board of Directors of FAUBA (2002-2006 and 2006-2010). Act like consultant and evaluator of Research Projects of the UBA, CONEAU, FONCyT, PICT and magazines of the specialty. Mr. Carmona has completed his Postgraduate studies in the Graduate School of the Faculty of Agronomy (EPGFA) obtaining its Master's degree in a theme in Phytopathology. She has taken postgraduate courses and study visits from the specialty abroad. It brings together a vast experience of almost 20 years of work in the integrated management of diseases with numerous national scientific publications (13) and international (26). He has published numerous manuals, books and related chapters with Phytopathology and Integrated Management (30). It also published a large number of extension work (100) and has given numerous conferences (30) and trainings in National and international congresses AACREA, AAPRESID, Cooperatives, Breeding, Agrochemical companies (130). He has given numerous postgraduate courses and has been exhibitor of scientific works in numerous national (94) and international congresses (59) He is Researcher, and Director of Research projects and thesis of degree and postgraduate. He is Director and Professor of the postgraduate course Integrated Management of the EPGFA as well as the Course on Disease Management within Specialization in Direct Seeding of the FAUBA. He is responsible for numerous agreements between FAUBA, companies and institutions. The topics covered in Phytopathology are: Epidemiology, Seed Pathology, Crop Rotation, Cultivar Reaction, Damage Quantification and Loss, Prediction, Chemical Control and Integrated Management. The main crops in the which works are: soybean, corn, wheat and barley.
