Biography

Agricultural Engineer, graduated from the Faculty of Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine of the University of Buenos Aires (Diploma de Honor). 1988 Ph.D. in Plant Physiology - University of California, Davis, United States of America Awards and distinctions 2002 - Bunge y Born Award. Agronomy 1998 - Member of number National Academy of Agronomy and Veterinary 1993 - Konex Prize that distinguishes the 5 outstanding figures of the decade in the discipline: Botany 1992 - Arturo Burkart Award. National Academy of Exact, Physical and Natural Sciences 1992 - Dow - Elanco Award to the director of the best intensification work, F. de Agronomía, University of Buenos Aires 1986 - Fellow of the John Simon Guggenheim Foundation 1985 - Vilfrid Baron Prize awarded by the National Academy of Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine (in collaboration with C. Ghersa, C. Ballaré and A. Scopel) Charges Professor Emerito Chair of Physiology Faculty of Agronomy (UBA). 2005-present Senior Researcher at CONICET. 1999-present
