Biography
Dr. Jane Thomason, BSW, MPH, Ph.D. has been Chief Executive Officer of Abt Associates-Australia andSenior Advisor of International at Abt Associates Inc. since July 28, 2016. Dr. Thomason served as the Chief Executive Officer of Abt JTA Pty Ltd. and Abt Associates Inc. until July 28, 2016. Dr. Thomason established JTA International in 1999 and has successfully led its growth, building from an initial portfolio of aid programs to diversify into the mining sector and develop Australian operations. She serves as an Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Queensland. She has worked extensively in Indonesia, PNG and the Pacific, Mongolia and the Philippines and held executive roles in Australia and internationally. She served as Chief Executive Officer of the Queensland Royal Children’s Hospital. She served as Senior Social Sector Specialist at the Asian Development Bank in Manila. She served as Head of the Department Of Community Medicine at the University of PNG. She served as an Adviser to the Health Metrics Network Executive Board in WHO, Geneva.
Research Interest
She served as Chairman of the Wesley Hospital Board. She serves as a Member of the WHO Evidence Review Group of Malaria Estimation. Dr. Thomason served as Director of Women’s Health in Queenslan
