Biography
Mr. Burns has served as one of our directors since March 2010. He is Chairman of the Audit Committee and a member of the Governance Committee. Mr. Burns currently serves as Chairman Emeritus of Ryder System, Inc., a provider of transportation and logistics services, a position that he has held since 2002. Mr. Burns served in several positions at Ryder until his retirement in 2002, including Chairman of the Board from 1985 to 2002, Chief Executive Officer from 1983 to 2000 and President from 1979 to 1999. Prior to joining Ryder, Mr. Burns served in management of Mobil Oil Corporation.
Research Interest
He is a Life Trustee of the University of Miami in Florida and is active in cultural and civic organizations in Florida.
