Biography
"Mary is a Clinical Psychologist and Director of Restore Psychology, with practice locations in Capalaba and Logan City. The practices offer a range of services including assessment and diagnosis, psychological therapy, cross-cultural counselling, clinical supervision and organisational consulting. Prior to establishing Restore Psychology, Mary worked in both clinical and senior management roles at Access Community Services Ltd since her appointment in 2001. Her roles were associated with managing a Torture and Trauma Counselling Service for resettled refugees, providing individual and group therapy, training and supervision of staff and university students, contract management, research and program evaluation. She has recently returned to Access as the Director of Client Services and brings with her knowledge and experience gained within the private sector. Mary’s therapeutic approach stems across a range of theoretical perspectives and evidence based treatments. Her extensive experience working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds has enhanced her skills in adapting therapy to reflect the individual needs, perspectives, and desired outcomes of her clients. Mary's areas of interest include trauma, grief and loss, and adjustment difficulties among other clinical issues. More broadly, Mary is strongly focused on working with her clients to improve their Quality of Life. She is committed to improving her performance through client feedback, monitoring outcomes and self-evaluation; all of which are important aspects of facilitating positive change.
