Biography
She stress the development of critical thinking skills, the importance of context, and the use of a systematic, scientific approach in assessment and treatment. My clinical experience with emotional disorders and substance abuse is reflected in my emphasis on the biopsychosocial approach. I encourage students to consider clients’ problems from a holistic perspective and to be aware of structural and systematic factors that maintain inequities in our society. Lastly, I encourage students to be familiar with current research findings and their implications in clinical practice.
