Gemma Thomas (escuriale)

Biography

Gemma Thomas have recently commenced a new role with AECOM in Townsville. I have 5+ years’ experience working as a Geotechnical Engineer in the Townsville and surrounding region. During my time working for my previous employer (Coffey) I was fortunate to work on a variety of projects for key clients including Townsville City Council, Mackay Regional Council, Department of Transport and Main Roads, along with others. Being based in a small regional office has given me the opportunity to manage projects from the proposal stage to delivery, enabling me to develop my site investigation, design, technical writing and project management skills. I understand the importance of expanding one’s knowledge and skills which is why I took the opportunity to work based out of other Coffey offices (Sunshine Coast, Brisbane) and assist Coffey's Environments team on some of their projects (e.g. contaminated land investigation).
