Lara Poloni

Biography

Lara Poloni lead AECOM’s 4,000-strong team across Australia and New Zealand. Built on a strong engineering design platform, AECOM provides a range of services that span the planning, design, building, operations and maintenance aspects of projects. In short, we work with clients to deliver solutions to some of society's most complex infrastructure challenges. Throughout a career spanning more than two decades, I’ve had experience in the planning, assessment and development of major transport infrastructure, and worked across both public and private sectors to manage major projects from initial business case development and feasibility through to operations. As a long-time member of the AECOM team (since 1994), I’ve had a number of roles, including as leader of the Australia New Zealand Environment business and our Transportation business in Victoria and South Australia. Most recently, I was Managing Director for our Southern Australia region. As Chief Executive, I lead the building of teams and businesses in the Mining, Energy, Water, Environment, Transport, Defence and Buildings markets across Australia and New Zealand, as we partner with industry to drive innovative and sustainable outcomes that benefit our clients.
