Vineet Mohan

Biography

 Vineet became Senior Vice President for Global Engineering and Construction in March 2017. With more than 3,000 MW currently under construction and a strong growth pipeline, he is responsible for delivering the projects on time and on budget to supply much needed power in the countries in which we operate. The projects underway span multiple fuel types including thermal, hydro and solar power generation across many markets such as in the US, Panama, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Chile, India, and the Philippines. Prior to his current role, Vineet Mohan served as the Vice President of Projects. His responsibilities included supporting our project development efforts globally in the bid process, contractor selection and contracts for AES projects. Vineet brings a variety and depth of experiences in the power sector including business operations, project development, public-private partnership investments, EPC and construction, sales and commercial operations, services and quality. Prior to joining AES in July 2012, Vineet held a number of leadership roles outside the company including Managing Director of Project Development for Asia and Region General Manager for Energy Services at GE, President of Leighton India, and Senior Executive at Larsen and Toubro Limited. Vineet received his Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from India Institute of Technology Kharagpur and an MBA from Edinburg Business School in the UK. He has served on various joint venture boards in GE and Leighton and currently serves as a board member of AES Gener.
