Steve Althoff

Biography

Steve Althoff is executive vice president leading a wide variety of functions at AFL. Steve oversees two of AFL’s product lines, test and inspection and fusion splicing systems, as well as the Light Brigade®, AFL’s fiber optic training company. In addition, Steve directs customer service for AFL. He has served in this capacity since 2004. Since joining the company in 1991, Steve rapidly progressed through a series of roles and has successfully worked directly with most of AFL’s diverse product lines. He began his career in sales, marketing Fujikura splicer and connectivity products first to the telecommunications and broadband industries, and then for the electric utility market. From sales, Steve moved into product management where he was responsible for product development and overall profitability for AFL’s splicer and connectivity product lines. Steve was promoted to director of North American sales where he was instrumental in driving strategic revenue growth across the business. Steve is a graduate of the State University of New York at Geneseo where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Computer Science. He currently supports the board of Greenville Family Partnership, a program that focuses on keeping our youth off of drugs, alcohol and tobacco.
