Biography
Mr McConnell was appointed to the role of CEO on 29 August 2016 and assumed the role of Managing Director of AHG from 1 January 2017. He is a certified accountant with an MBA from the University of Queensland and an Economics degree from Macquarie University. Mr McConnell spent 17 years at Inchcape plc, a multinational automotive retail and services company headquartered in the UK, most recently as Group Financial Director in London and was previously CEO of Inchcape’s operations across Australia and New Zealand. Before joining Inchcape Mr McConnell worked with Reckitt and Colman for 13 years in a variety of senior roles in the UK, Germany and Australia. His various roles have given him extensive experience in capital markets, logistics and the automotive industry.
