Biography
Since 1997, Suzanne Conrad has served Iowa Donor Network as Chief Executive Officer. Prior to coming to Iowa, she worked for Southwest Organ Bank (now Southwest Transplant Alliance) for 12 years in various hospital development and professional education management positions. Her tenure includes establishing the organization’s full-time, full-service marketing department. Conrad has served on numerous boards including the Organ Donation and Transplantation Alliance board of directors. She is a past president of both the Association of Organ Procurement Organizations and the North American Transplant Coordinators Organization. She has held many committee positions with both organizations over the years. Currently, Conrad is serving her fourth (non-consecutive) term on the UNOS Board of Directors as the Vice President for Patient and Donor Affairs. In the past, she has served as UNOS Treasurer and as a member of several of its organizational committees. Donation personally hit home for Conrad in 2005 when she became a living kidney donor.
