Biography
Ricky received his Bachelor and Master of Engineering (B.Eng and M.Eng) degrees from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. He completed his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree at Monash University, Australia; focusing primarily on the development of surface acoustics wave based micro actuators. Prior to pursuing his doctoral degree in Australia, Ricky has had various working experiences with NTU, Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech - A*STAR), and Avago Technologies. His past responsibilities ranged from development and performance characterization of novel micro devices, to maintenance and optimization of a manufacturing production line. Ricky brings considerable microfabrication and characterization expertises to the MCN. He is responsible for photolithography, physical vapour deposition, chemical vapor deposition and reactive ion etching processes.
