Biography
DAVID CHI, 44, was named region vice president and general manager, Apache Egypt in May 2016. Chi has been with Apache since 2007, holding positions of increasing responsibility in the corporate reservoir engineering department, and the Argentina and Egypt regions. He most recently held the role of general manager, Qarun Petroleum Company (QPC) in Cairo. Before joining Apache, Chi held various reservoir engineering, optimization, project management, and acquisition and divestiture roles with ConocoPhillips Company, Schlumberger Limited, El Paso Corporation and Burlington Resources Inc. He holds a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering from Texas Tech University.
