Biography
MARK D. MADDOX, 51, was appointed vice president and chief information officer Jan. 1, 2017. He has global oversight of the IT function at Apache. He joined Apache in June 2015 as vice president, Information Technology. Maddox was previously with Ernst & Young LLP where he was a principal of Oil & Gas Advisory Services since February 2014. His primary focus was technology-enabled performance improvement at both the enterprise and functional levels. Prior to Ernst & Young, Maddox worked at Deloitte LLP from 2010 to 2014 as director of Energy and Resources where he served as lead client service partner for large strategic oil and gas clients and had overall responsibility across all functions and service lines for client strategy, direction, revenue and profitability. He also held various roles of increasing responsibility at SAP America from 1998 to 2009, including vice president of Oil, Gas & Chemicals from 2007 to 2009. He began his career at Tenneco Energy in 1989 where he held positions in Accounting, Operations and Information Technology. Maddox has a Bachelor of Science in finance from Louisiana State University.
