Biography
STEVEN J. KEENAN, 62, was named senior region vice president - Delaware Basin Region on June 1, 2015. He oversees the North American Unconventional Resources Technology team, the Unconventional Resources New Ventures team and the company’s operations in the Delaware Basin. He was previously regional vice president – Unconventional Resources since June 2014. He joined Apache earlier in 2014 as managing director, North American Unconventional Resources. Before joining Apache, he was exploration manager for EOG Resources and played a critical role in delineating the oil window in the Eagle Ford play in south Texas. He has also worked in the Rocky Mountains, Alaska, California, Gulf of Mexico, Middle East and West Africa. His experience includes positions as a geophysicist and project manager at Cities Service Oil Company, SOHIO Petroleum, BP and Marathon. Keenan earned his bachelor’s degree in geology from LaSalle University and his Master of Science from Ohio State University at Bowling Green.
