Biography
I have been working with children, families, adolescents and adults since 2009. My special interests in both work and research involve building resilience in youth and improving their interpersonal relationships, especially in the school and family setting. I have worked as a psychologist in a school setting for over 8 years, gaining insight into the complexities of the education system and its influence on the social and emotional wellbeing of young people. I am also experienced in the assessment and treatment of individuals with a wide range of emotional and behavioural difficulties, and have particular expertise in disorders involving anxiety, dissociation, complex trauma, functional neurological difficulties and somatic symptoms. I believe in a holistic approach and use evidence-based clinical interventions that encompass mindfulness, the mind-body connection, and compassion for self and others.
