Biography
Role at ANSTO Scott is a Research Scientist in the Isotopes in Climate Change and Atmospheric Systems Project within the Institute for Environmental Research. He is primarily involved in developing, deploying and operating ground-based and airborne detectors for the monitoring of atmospheric Radon-222 (radon) and radon emanation. His research interests involve using radon as a tracer of atmospheric transport and mixing and investigating the use of such datasets for the evaluation of weather and climate models. Expertise Radon, radon flux, boundary-layer meteorology, surface-atmosphere interaction, atmospheric transport, vertical mixing Qualifications & Achievements 19 research articles published in refereed international journals. Post doctoral research at the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, investigating the regional climatic effects of natural disturbance (by fire) of the Boreal Forest regions of Alaska and Siberia Ph.D. in Atmospheric Chemistry, The Flinders University of South Australia (1997)
