Biography
Adam is a partner in Gilbert + Tobin’s Corporate Advisory group and has been with the firm for 15 years. Adam has worked with clients across a wide range of industries, with a focus on the financial services and funds management industry. His specialty is large scale mergers and acquisitions and equity capital raisings for financial services institutions, listed property trusts and companies. Adam has also advised many Australian private equity and property fund managers and global LPs on the establishment and structuring of listed and unlisted investment vehicles and fundraising activities. Adam heads up the funds group at G+T and regularly advises his large listed company clients and private equity funds on their private M&A programs and is an expert in financial services laws and financial product disclosure. Adam was ranked as a leading individual for Investment Funds by Chambers Asia-Pacific where he earnt praise for his technical skills and for being "practical, responsive and commercial," and was listed in the Best Lawyers 2017 directory for both corporate law, and M&A. He acts for many of the world’s largest fund managers in respect of their Australian operations and has acted on some of Australia’s largest M&A transactions, particularly in the listed property fund space. His clients include: Blackstone; Oaktree; Hastings; Australian Unity; Telstra; Brookfield; Westpac; NAB; Lazard; and Carnegie.
