Biography
Justin specialises in energy and resources law and has advised clients in both the mining and oil & gas industries on a wide range of commercial and resources transactions. In the mining sector, Justin has advised Australian publicly listed mining and resources companies on private M&A transactions, drafting and advising upon terms of venture and farmin agreements, mining contracts, general procurement, access agreements, mining services agreements, engineering and construction contracts (for both brownfield and greenfield developments), commodity sales and transportation agreements and on major projects developed under State Agreements. In the oil and gas sector, Justin has advised companies on asset sales, farmin and joint venture arrangements, gas sales and transportation agreements and LNG developments. He is named as a leading energy & resources lawyer in the current edition of The Best Lawyers in Australia and a recommend energy & resources lawyer in recent editions of Doyles Guide and Asia Pacific Legal 500. He is a member of the Australian Mining & Petroleum Law Association. In 2002 and 2004, Justin taught the mining and resources law unit at Murdoch University School of law. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from Murdoch University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Australia.
