Biography
Dr Koohsari is an urban designer who has been working on several research projects in order to investigate the role of the built environment on health outcomes in Australia, Japan and USA. The Australian Heart Foundation has recently awarded him a postdoctoral fellowship for his project How can urban design reduce cardiovascular disease risk?. As an urban design researcher, Dr Koohsari has developed interdisciplinary research network with public health researchers, and contributes to advancing the knowledge in the emerging ‘built environment and health' research field.
