Biography
Glynis is the Research Nurse Coordinator for the NHMRC funded research project: Management to Optimise Diabetes and mEtabolic syndrome Risk reduction via Nurse-led intervention (MODERN) study; overseeing the nurse-led regional health clinics based in Shepparton and Colac. She has also been a Project Coordinator/Research Nurse on the Central Australian Heart Protection Study (CAHPS) which was based in Alice Springs. CAHPS looked at an alternative model of care for cardiac rehabilitation for indigenous and non-indigenous communities throughout remote Central Australia. Glynis is also a Cardiac Rehabilitation Coordinator and has worked extensively in Melbourne and Alice Springs, most recently with Epworth Healthcare — Brighton, where she coordinates the Cardiac and Heart Failure Rehabilitation Program.
