Biography
He has 24+ years of experience after graduation with a doctorate in Molecular Biology. The vast majority of my experiences was in virus related subjects. he started with biopesticide studies at the Agriculltural University of Wageningen. the Netherlands. He moved to the US in 1992 to continue post doc studies on the same subject at Cornell University. In 1994 he got an industry offer and worked at GenVec on targeting adenovirus vectors for gene therapy applications (cancer, vaccines). In 2003, he moved to California to work on RNA interference as a novel approach to treat HepC. His group developed an AAV vector capable of expressing 3 targeted RNAi species. This modality was approved by the RAC in June of 2013. From 2006-2008 he worked at Clontech Laboratories, where my group developed novel technologies for conversion into reagent tools. Till August 2009 he was employed at MedImmune where he directed two virology group(s) that develop biotherapeutics against infectious disease agents. Between 2009 - 2015 he has worked as independent consultant in my own LLC ClearView Biologics. In March 2015 he rejoined Benitec Biopharma in Hayward, CA as a Senior Director Research.
