Biography
Dr. Leffert is a board certified clinical endocrinologist, and Managing Partner of North Texas Endocrine Center in Dallas, Texas. He has been in private single specialty group or solo practice for the last 25 years, where his passion for excellent patient care drives him daily in his clinical and organizational activities. Dr. Leffert has been active in organizational medicine since 2000, serving on the board of his county medical society, state medical society Political Action Committee, and now as President of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE). In addition, he is currently the Delegate to the American Medical Association (AMA) for AACE. At the AMA House of Delegates Meeting in 2013, Dr. Leffert led a coalition that resulted in the designation of obesity as a disease. He is also a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism Board.
