Biography
Associate Professor Kieran Broome is the Interim Program Lead for Occupational Therapy at Bond University. Kieran balances both academia and clinical practice, facilitating understand across sectors. He currently also holds and appointment as senior Occupational Therapist in Chronic Disease with Metro South Health & Hospital Service. His clinical career has extended across multiple sectors including chronic disease, prison health, palliative care, community rehabilitation, aged care, workplace rehabilitation and paediatric practice. He has previously taught at both the University of the Sunshine Coast and The University of Queensland. He is actively involved in the occupational therapy profession, including long-standing service as Queensland Divisional Chair of Occupational Therapy Australia and involvement in multiple state and national committees. He has represented occupational therapy with multiple engagements on industry committees and hearings, and presenting at a senate inquiry into Medicare out-of-pocket costs.
