Biography
After his undergraduate degree in Zimbabwe, Jay was awarded a Beit Trust Postgraduate Fellowship to do an LLM at University College London. On returning to Zimbabwe, he completed his articles and practised in a small firm of solicitors in Bulawayo. In 1984 Jay took up a lectureship at the University of Fort Hare, and in 1986 a senior lectureship at the University of Natal in South Africa. He came to Bond University in 1991, and teaches in the Contract and Remedies subjects. Jay's major enduring research activity has centred around information technology and the law. He teaches the elective course on Information Technology and the Law which he introduced in 1994. He is a co-author of Electronic Commerce and the Law, John Wiley, 2003 and co-author of Internet and E-Commerce Law, Oxford University Press, 2008.
